Lisa Masini (Xeriscape Designer)
Lisa has been an innovator and champion of xeriscape in the Kelowna area since 2009. She studied Landscape Design through the University of Guelph and has a certificate in Landscape Horticulture from Okanagan College.
Lisa began her career with a Master’s degree in Cognitive Psychology from the University of British Columbia, where she learned that natural landscapes are beneficial to body and mind by reducing stress and providing a connection to nature.
By combining her technical skills and love for nature, Lisa brings to life the vision of idyllic outdoor spaces.

OXA
Lisa Masini is also co-founder of the not-for-profit Okanagan Xeriscape Association (OXA) and currently sits on the Board of Directors. Founded in 2009, the OXA was formed with the vision for xeric landscapes to be the desired and accepted norm in the Okanagan.
The ‘unH2O’ Xeriscape Demonstration Garden, co-designed by Waterwise Landscape Design, is the flagship of the OXA and penultimate example of the 4-season interest possible in a xeriscape.
